Suzuki V-Strom 250SX Coming to Bangladesh: Adventure Touring for BD Roads

Suzuki is preparing to launch the V-Strom 250SX in Bangladesh, a lightweight adventure tourer with a 249cc oil-cooled engine, long-travel suspension, and adventure styling. Expected at around Tk 537,000, it will be the most affordable adventure bike in the country.
What is the V-Strom 250SX
The Suzuki V-Strom 250SX is a lightweight adventure tourer designed for riders who want to explore beyond city limits. It is powered by a 249cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 26.5 PS at 9,300 rpm and 22.2 Nm at 7,300 rpm — the same engine as the Gixxer SF 250 but tuned for torque and versatility.
The bike features long-travel suspension, a tall windscreen, upswept exhaust, and adventure-style bodywork. It runs on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels, giving it genuine off-road capability on Bangladesh's rural and hilly roads. The ground clearance is generous, and the ergonomics are upright and comfortable for long rides.
Bangladesh market positioning
At an expected price of Tk 537,000, the V-Strom 250SX would slot between the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 (Tk 429,950) and the KTM Duke 250 (Tk 560,000). It would be the only purpose-built adventure bike under 300cc in Bangladesh, with no direct competitor.
For riders who want to tour to Sylhet, Bandarban, or the Chittagong Hill Tracts, the V-Strom offers a more appropriate tool than a sports bike or commuter. The 12-litre fuel tank, comfortable seat, and protective bodywork make it practical for multi-day trips.
Should you wait for it?
If your primary use is city commuting with occasional highway trips, the Gixxer SF 250 or Yamaha FZ 25 are already available and cost less. But if you specifically want adventure styling, better suspension, and touring ergonomics, the V-Strom 250SX is worth waiting for.
Rancon Motorbikes, the Suzuki distributor in Bangladesh, has not confirmed an official launch date, but industry sources suggest a late 2025 or early 2026 arrival.
